Progressive Web App Offline and App Improvements
ModernHawk has just released its updated Progressive Web App (PWA) and made large improvements to our offline capabilities, and overall user experience. Our users will now see the benefits of the following:
Usability of a traditional app without the need for updates
Improved efficiency and access to maintenance data
Limited offline use
Ability to stay logged in on your personal device
To utilize the benefits of ModernHawk’s PWA users will need to accomplish the following:
Delete any existing icons from the the home screen.
Go to app.modernhawk.com.
Select the share button.
Select Save to Home Screen.
Position app icon to your preference.
Open the app and login normally.
You will now have the ability to select remain logged in.
Usability and efficiency of Maintenance Application
ModernHawk users can now utilize the features of a traditional application without the need to worry about constant updates. ModernHawk will no longer open on your web browser but instead as a PWA, this will allow you to close and re-enter the app right where you left off. This will drastically improve the speed at which you are able to access all the maintenance data required.
Limited Offline Use
ModernHawk maintenance software now allows for basic offline viewing. We utilize your devices cacheing capabilities to provide you a basic offline experience. We will automatically store any areas of the application that you visited for at least 1 day. This means that if you view an aircraft status page, you will have full offline access to that status page for the rest of the day.
Stay Logged In
Users can now stay logged in on their personal devices, this goes for computers, tablets, and phones. Simply check the box to remain logged in and you will be logged in for a period of 1 month with no activity. As you use the app you are constantly and automatically refreshing that 1 month period.
